Cattle Ranch Real Estate

Ranch property and acreage property shows signs of a good investment. Cattle ranchers are making more money with less herd. Ranch Real estate is a hot commodity for Cattle Ranchers. The recent weather changes in the South have forced ranchers to move herds to places more west like California. Higher feed cost, most likely due to the amount of land that a corn crop takes for bio fuel, has constantly pushed Beef prices higher and higher. 2012 is poised to set record numbers once again into double digits.

The US has had a diminishing cow herd for several years, and has seen a drop in beef consumption; adversely Brazil has seen an increase in both beef consumption and herd sizes. These days US ranchers, who buy ranch real estate, can pay back their Ag financing with ease and faster than normal, because of the profits being made from exporting their beef to places like Japan. Japan has increased it US beef consumption steadily and have created markets, which are not as common in the U.S.   Overseas markets also embrace pieces of the animal that Americans typically don’t consume, bringing more dollars to American beef producers. That means more money for the whole carcass. With Japan a major trade destination again, American beef exports are poised to hit another record this year – nearly $5 billion in sales. China, which does not officially import U.S. beef, could be on the horizon.

When a cattle producers “banker” makes positive predictions about beef futures (Rabo AgriFinance) it’s a good sign for ranch property, and ranch real estate.   The value of land for sale is at an all-time low, and cattle ranchers are in an excellent position to purchase and make money at the same it.

“60 percent of agricultural producers have contracted or sold their 2011 production. Global demand and alternative energy generation are driving the Rural Main street economy higher.”

The farmland price index rose to a record high 84.1 in December. This marks the 23rd straight month the index has been above growth-neutral

Bankers were asked to provide average cash rents per acre in their area. The average cash rent was $191 and 22% of bankers reported average per acre rents above $250.

Don Reynolds, president of Regional Missouri Bank, said, “Land prices appear to continue to rise. But, we noted that a few small tracts that were desired by multiple cash rich buyers appeared to distort people’s thinking.” – Beef Magazine

Prices for beef overall hit a record high in December. Even prices for economical ground chuck have climbed in the past five years. Average price per pound of ground chuck in December:

2007 $2.70

2008 $3.00

2009 $2.83

2010 $2.93

2011 $3.27

There are talks about the price per pound of beef reaching $5.00lb this year. This is good news for Ranch real estate and Ranch sales. Land for sale is hot right now, because of the profit possibilities it holds. The best locations for ranches in California offer the land around $1500 - $3,000 per acre. There is one original cattle Ranch that exist in Calaveras County.

California Ranch Real Estate

What you should pay for Ranch property largely depends on the area of the United States. California has some beautiful locations for Ranch properties for sale. One of these areas is Calaveras County. The Red House Ranch is located in Copperopolis, CA. And offers 2.650 acres (approx.) This Ranch can be purchased as a whole or in individual parcels. There are a total of 9 parcels which have been assigned and the property sizes range from 40 acres - 536 acres. Historically the Ranch has been used as a cattle ranch. Now that parcel numbers are assigned it is very easy and affordable for a buyer to purchase a smaller piece like 305 acres, and build their dream home or plant grapes/olives. The ranch properties also serve as great equestrian (horse properties). The prices for acreage vary according to amenity and size.

Average prices for ranch properties in Northern California are roughly $3980 per acre. The Red House Ranch properties have an average price of $1900 - $2800 per acre. For example: there is a section of land listed at a bulk price of $3,229,000 for 1,250 acres!
What is the best price per acre of land in this area?

That is a great deal for ranch property including the location and amenities in the Surrounding areas.

One of the parcels has a beautiful Hacienda 9,000sf 9 bedrooms and 9.5 baths. This estate sits on 100 acres and listed at $1,250,000… Property even includes “Retreat” permits…!

Olivenhain, CA

The town is located on the Rancho Las Encinitas Mexican land grant, and was settled by a German colony in the 1890s. The name Olivenhain is from the German and means "small forest where olive trees grow". The German settlers built the meeting hall which still stands. It is used today for community functions such as the annual Oktoberfest, Haunted House, summer movie series, craft fairs and a variety of civic group meetings. Residents of Olivenhain may schedule the Meeting Hall and grounds for private functions; it is a popular wedding site.

Olivenhain has a vast network of recreational trails, used by walkers and equestrians. Many homes have horse facilities, tennis courts, swimming pools, etc. A common site in the area during late afternoons and dusk are hot air balloons.

Olivenhain has a darker sky than coastal San Diego towns such as Encinitas and Solana Beach due to its "Dark Sky Policy" which limits lights from street lights, tennis courts, and other forms of light pollution.

Algae, feed, food, and fuel!!

Algae is the new movement.  be prepared to use Algae for fuel, feed, and food.  Algae is the oldest and fastest growing plant in the world.  I first found out about algae because there was a group trying to buy some land property I have listed.  I first thought, Algae?  really?  But, I soon found my self in a research worldwind!  I had to know about Algae fast, especially if the deal was going through. I discovered Algae can be taken from seed to harvest in 2 days and then refined into CRUDE OIL as a BIO FUEL!! This is great, as 98% of it is reuseable water!  Some higher-ups made some pretty bold and rapid pushes to get Corn and Soy Bean implemented into the BIO fuel game.  However, Corn and Soy bean take up astronomical amounts of land AND take a whole year to finally get Crude oil... REALLY???

Algae takes up 20% of the amount of land and can produce 5 times as much product!! Terrific!! 1/2 of the by-product is a HI yield protein which can be used as FEED!! Lets get on this path a fix the WORLD!
